Got the most precious birthday card from my three children telling me I am a cool mom.
What really stood out for me was that they said that my biggest tragedy ( failed marriage/ pending divorce from AH) has become my biggest legacy. They appreciate that I fight the good fight for me and them.
I feel humbled as I really come from a terrible place (emotionally) and the fact that I am able to let go of AH and looking after me and kids is recognized as something positive from my 3 children is great.
Thanks to all the beautiful people at SR who helped me /and still are helping me on this road of recovery.

Awesome, makes me feel all teary.
Kids often appreciate MUCH LATER the stuff we do that upsets/annoys them now (example: my older son telling me when he reached his 20s that he appreciated that I would often tell him "no" about certain things he wanted). It's cool that you're NOW getting the kudos from the kiddos.
