Now that I have been back home to help mom set up her new life post cancer diagnosis I have realized how important for my sanity staying in the present moment is. There has been so much talk of the future and the past with my family that I want to scream. So of this I know is needed to plan but BOY HOWDY too much is too much. That and I know with certainty I would not move back to the midwest. California is my home now - I moved there 6 years ago for ME for reasons I now am certain were and are healthy for me. I love my FOO but loving them from across the country is easier than this close range stuff!

Mom is doing much better than she was and the support systems are in place now for when I leave this coming Saturday. I am really homesick and ready to go - WOW - you don't appreciate what all you have until you leave it for a few weeks. I am ready to get right on back to the present moment, present life - that is truly were LIFE IS. Not in the past or the future.
