It happened agian
Today my mother confirmed that she relapsed again. I have such a strange and string reaction to this. I get angry and scared and cry so hard I can't stop. I just don't know what to do. I find myself falling right back into that place everytime this happends.

I'm 30. I would think by now I'd able to cope. I'm a counselor for goodness sake. But I have been to a meeting once and plan to go this week. I'm feeling better today. Thanks for the support.

Confused,
Consider yourself Hugged....counselor or not we all need the fellowship and support that SR and Al-Anon can give us. Those of here and at Al-Anon understand as few others can...I really thought before that I was way out in the outfield, all alone with alll the craziness that A's and us codie's can dream up...IT is a family disease....
Do hope you keep coming back so you can get to know us...
Love and prayers from one who cares

I find when these things happen my old brain kicks in and brings back the feelings and behaviours from the past if I haven't learnt new thoughts and behaviours for myself to handle these situations.

Thank you everyone for your support. It is helpful knowing that there are people out there that understand. I went to one meeting this week an plan to attend some more. I hope to use this site as another means of support. My biggest issue is dealing with the angry I feel. My wise mnd tells me what to do and I accept that its isn't my fault, etc. I know what I need to do. But there is fine line between setting boundaries and punishing.
