42 hours clean and withdrawing
Hi OWW - Those first few days are the hardest. I remember how hopeless I felt and how scary it was to think about facing the future without alcohol. I really didn't know what had happened to my life. It was like trudging through quicksand every day, trying to pretend everything was OK with me.
It was a relief to give up and cry for help. I'm so glad you're thinking about getting treatment. Be patient and loving towards yourself and try to keep things as simple and easy as possible right now.
We're here for you!!:ghug3

I personally didn't go through any serious withdrawls, however I've been told from friends on here that they can be very serious.
It's always important to speak with your doctor when you are thinking of making a large lifestyle change, such as giving up drinking or drugs.
Be safe and smart!

I am coming off DXM. I am about to leave for a meeting right now, but I am just really shaken up from this latest relapse as I was doing some other stuff too and the combination was just really hard on my body. I hope I can get into treatment, I am waiting on a call back from two different treatment centers.
