Unhappy Diabetic boy is not doing well, asking for prayers

His sugar has been really high, drinking and peeing way too much. He isn't acting "right" the last few days. Is eating and walking and such as usual but still doesn't seem 'right'. It's the end of the month and I have no money left over but will take him to the vet if he gets worse. Please send up prayers and postive thoughts for his health. He means the world to me and I don't want to lose him, or even let him continue as he is now as he doesn't seem to be feeling very good.

Thank you.

I'll certainly say a prayer for him Least......as soon as I hit "enter." --I'll also pray for you - that you'll be in a position to provide and/or make whatever decisions you may need to make.

Those decisions are the hardest, Least, and I know that you are doing all you can to take care of your boy. Prayers go out for him and for you too.

He just threw up his breakfast. He's going to the vet tomorrow morning because they don't have a vet there this afternoon. I am so worried.

I want him near me today and he seems too tired to climb the steps to my den so I carried him up there to be where I can see him. I am staying near him all day to watch him.

Least,

So sorry to hear about your little buddy. My cat was diabetic. I had to give him insulin twice daily. If you have any questions please feel to ask me. I would be happy to help you if I can. Is this a recent illness?

Sending my love and prayers to you and your doggie!

My prayers are with you Least. I don't have any experience with your situation but all I can say is give him the love and comfort he needs till you can get to the vet.

Consider Done

Of course we'll send our prayers, I'm sure he is special, and he deserves a special life.

(((Least))) - Prayers going up, right now, for you and your boy. I know how hard it is, when our furbabies are sick.

Hugs and prayers!

He seems a bit better this evening. Had the energy to climb the stairs and without any coaxing from me, so that's good. Ate his supper and is keeping it down so far. (I put some catnip in his dinner to ease any stomach discomfort) Went for a walk too and walked fine with a bit more 'zest' than he showed this morning.

Vet appt at 9:45 am. Will let you know what vet says. I love you all so much for your concern for my little boy. It means so much to me.

Just back from the vet ( I love my vets!) She said he showed no sign of discomfort or illness that she could tell from a physical exam. I'm bringing him in next Monday to stay all day for a glucose curve where they test his blood glucose every two hours to see how it rises and falls. A 'good' curve is where the rise and fall is gentle and not spiking way up and then falling way down. So will just keep an eye on him until then.

I know that God heard your prayers and helped him feel better last night and this morning. I can never thank you all enough so a virtual huge hug will have to do!

Now I have to go do a little cleaning job to pay for former foster boy's heartworm test next Monday... am praying it will be negative... and have the feeling that it will be.

Good News! it is so difficult to try to regulate him when he can't tell you....did she change his meds?

i didn't know you can put catnip in food to settle a sensitive tummy?

Catnip tea is good for stomach ache/cramps. I've been drinking it for years. And my dogs like catnip anyway, always have, they like to eat it out of the bowl I put it in for the cats! They never get crazy like cats do, but they like to eat it all the same.

He's doing great this morning. The over-drinking/peeing seems to be gone and he climbs the stairs to my den with all his usual energy. Right now he's asking for a biscuit so am guessing he's feeling lots better.
