I had a day one at least once a week for about 15 years sleepie so thats about a thousand rounded up.

I got it eventually and did what I needed to do - I hope you can too.

i took have had countless day ones, not to be on the negative side or anything but i have a feeling im gonna have quite a few more before i just leave it all behind.

With the exception of a small handful of cases between 1996 and 2002 when I stopped drinking for a couple of weeks, each spread out by a few years, I didn't have this experience of multiple re-starts. What comes to mind after 2002 is only a long period of "I wonder when I will stop" without any attempts to quit. Something was different about my stopping this time, and I haven't gone this long without drinking since I first indulged in it in 1987.

Dee, if you spot this, I wanted to take a minute to thank for being so patient with so many people and for having a pluralist attitude amid all the various mindsets that flow through here!
