A First- Sober Camping

Sober Camping is Possible!

The trip was wonderful. Time with family was enhanced by delicious food and clarity of thought and action. The air was cool and clear like my head. We hiked. We swam. We talked by the campfire. We made great memories!

I never thought sober camping could be fun but I was mistaken! I never had such a great time in the outdoors. No guilt, no pain, no shame.

Sobriety ROCKS!!!!

It does totally rock doesn't it!! I went on the 4th of July weekend, BUT we had to break down camp in the middle of a really, really bad thunderstorm and come home. I am so glad I was sober because my son was having a panic attack and had we been drunk we have not been able to get him out of there. Blessings are everywhere when we open our sober eyes.

I'll be doing my first sober camping trip in a couple of weeks...looking forward to it...one of my drunken camping trips, I fell into the fire and severely burnt my leg.....it was horrible.....won't have to worry about that on this trip!!
so glad to hear you enjoyed yourself! and you have good memories to hold on to!!

I bet that was great. That's on my "fun things to do sober that I will actually remember and won't involve hurting myself and pissing everybody off" list. I'll have to wait 'til fall tho, down here the cool and crisp air has been replaced by 99 degree humid air!
