detox/rehab in nj

my friend called me and i went to see her. she did not ask for anything other than saying she is wanting to go to detox/rehab. no place is out of the question. i know of the hospitals and salvation army. does any one know of other places that may be 90 in nj. she has no insurance and the family has little money. thank you. i dont want to get my hopes too high, but i am standing by her for this first try.

I'm glad she's wanting help!

I wish I knew where to direct you to find good rehabs in NJ, but I know nothing about the area. I do have a suggestion, though. I highly recommend that you allow her to figure out which rehab she wants to go to and work form there. If she's not living somewhere with internet access, maybe take her to the public library and let her get on a computer and do the leg work herself? That way she stays an active part of her own recovery. If she's serious about getting the help and not just saying that to rope you back in, she will find something.

And as far as I know, Salvation Army is free; maybe that would be a good direction to point her?
