30 days
Well I delayed it a bit, but finally did my detox (5 day medical) and have been sober 30 days today. I have been lucky so far and have had few cravings.
I have been filling time with meetings every day (except one), reading the Book, reading SR, exercise and cleaning up the messes I made the last six years or drinking.
I feel so much better (and people tell me I look lots better). Shakes and racing heart are gone, BP and pulse are down and blood is back to normal, except liver values.
Bad news is my appetite went NUTS, so I packed on a few pounds (looks like more exercise is in order). But I am eating more healthy meals. And, I've had some issues with irritability, self confidence, and anxiety.
I've had great support, from family, friends and reading here (even though I've just been reading, not posting).
Thank you all for your support!
Looking forward to 60, 90, 360 days and on...

Way to go on 30 days!!!! The weight will come off (I ate alot the first month, too, and I'm starting to get back to normal, even losing a few pounds). Just focus on how good it feels to have a great start on sobriety. It sounds like you're doing all the right stuff. Bravo!
Way to go!!! It is amazing what a physical and mental transformation we undergo once we get sober and work our recovery.
All the best and I am looking forwarded to continued milestones. Keep it going one day at a time and keep on posting. I like it
