Something to think about.
I was driving home from work thinking it's beer time again. With thirty days under my belt I give my self the ok to buy a pint of beer on the way home. Just one Pint. I know in my mind I am fine with just one and only one. Ok this is the game I've been playing with myself on the way home. Then I let the alcoholic side of me speaking up. "well what heck.....what is one going to do for you? you need more than that" Ha my brain is fighting with itself over how much I can bring home. One ain't going to get the water hot and alocoholic side wants too much. So by the time I let them battle it out and I'm home for the evening. I don't know this must be my delusional way of thinking. But it gets me one day down.
Hope this makes sense.

One pint is a total waste of time. 10 pints minimum. Then another 10 pints when waking up for the next day and a bottle of whiskey to get the job done.
Yer I'm an alkie.
Nice one on not getting any booze. Moderation is a fairytale for this alcoholic.
Don't pander to the addict mind and keep working your recovery. Eventually these type of thoughts are non existant. If they ever do crop up you can laugh at them. They really don't have any power anymore.
Peace

Neo I've followed your posts for a long time and am amazed at your progress (hope that doesn't sound patronizing it really isn't meant to)
Can I ask you if you've really got to the stage where you don't have those thoughts anymore?
I would so like that but don't know if it's ever possible for the alcoholic and thats why I ask.
