day 28
2+8 = 10, in numerological terms, a very powerful number, as 10 is often associated with completion and soundness. It also breaks down into the extremely powerful and masculine number 1. Maybe you could take this as a sign to remember the fundamentals: the first day, 1st step, one day at a time, etc
Congrats, and keep on keeping on!
Merry part,
WW

Well, you're sober, and that's the best part, but it sounds like you're doing this "brute force". By now other things in your life should be calling for your attention. Have you replaced your drinking time with new interests and activities?
If you have time to think about drinking maybe you still need to create a new path for your days.

day 29...more than just abstinence
I still am resulting in using some brute force at this time, though it's not as hard.
I know this whole recovery thing is about so much more than not drinking. Right now, that's the first step I need to focus on. But I was thinking today about how much work left there is to do in my head, in my spirit, and in my heart.
It is a long road but I am thankful I've at least started walking. I've been standing at the start line for way too long.
I am replacing the drinking with more positive healthy things. Some days it's just hard all over, you know?
thanks, everyone, for responding.

Good for you, price! I don't know how true this is for others, but I felt a little shaky right around 30 days. Nothing like a close call, just not as positive and energized about sobriety as I had been. It got better, though, so keep hanging in there!
