hello
hello
Hi everybody, i'm new here. I can't sleep, and thought i'd type out some racing thoughts of mine. I think that drinking instead of dealing with your issues...is basically lazy suicide. Because you aren't really alive...just living in this fantasy world that allows you to keep denying reality. We only have this life...that we know of. Why the hell would you waste your life on just denying your feelings and true self?? That is a waste of energy. I just want to except reality...maybe its horrible, but it can't be controlled. It is what it is, so what? I don't need alcohol, i'm done with it. Life isn't nearly as bad as we are taught to believe...by whoever drove us to alcohol. It is simple, and perfectly fine. Everything is going to be okay, really.
Perfectly put Wolf99!!

Give me the blue pill any day!!!
After over 20 years of abusing alcohol and now 141 days sober I can vouch for what you said above - the veil has lifted and I'm living my life in the real world these days and am a much happier person for it!!
Big hugs,
Almath

Hi Wolf,
Ooo, that felt familiar - "just living in this fantasy world that allows you to keep denying reality". I spent about 10 years "inside myself" doing just that. 10 years of avoiding reality, and why? Drunk or sober, reality just cruises by. Do you want to sit on the curb forever? Stand up and grab a hold.
I really like your post. Keep those thoughts with you.
