TOPIC: Recovery Or Drinking Movies To Watch
Hi Im Sharon and Im
an Alcoholic.
By the grace of my
HP and people like
you here in SR I havent
found it necessary to
pick up a drink of
alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and you I am
truely grateful.
What to do in ur free
time to get ur urges
to drink fly out the
door.
Or to see a movie that
will make you think
twice not to drink.
Or movies you've seen
where the actor reminds
you of you drinking and
doing crazy things.
There's many new members
joining here in SR that
are learning to how to
stay sober or clean and
need some suggestions
of what to do to distract
or discourage them from
picking up a drink or drug.
I recall in rehab having to
watch movies about recovery
or actors or actresses who
had drinking problems.
Such as Susan Hayward.
What movies can you suggest
to the newcomer to watch and
be helpful to them?

Here's an old rare out-
standing movie.....
I'LL CRY TOMORROW
Susan Hayward gives a
stunning, Oscar-nominated
portrayal as Broadway's
Lillian Roth in this true
story of an alcoholic's
wretched decline and
her eventual, courageous
recovery.
