Damn...

Almost 5 weeks in and today now having some serious cravings.

Work week went amazing, Its Friday, Nice and warm out. My mind is screaming LETS GET CRAZY!!

Went for walk to try to calm myself and boy what a mistake Whistler village is packed with all the patio's full of people drinking like crazy.

Damn...

25 days sober, and man does that voice get loud on fridays; it's actually screaming in my ear right now! I'm hoping it will quiet down some soon. Until then, I am taking it a second at a time and remembering that I am sacrificing a night of drinking in exchange for a healthy day and sense of self-worth tomorrow. Good luck.

Out of pure luck I just went to another thread and someone posted exactly what I was looking for.

If all else failed me, I used to sit on SR - helping others was good for me - apart from anything else it helped me to forget about myself and those cravings for a bit

I had such a tough time last night, too!! Sitting on the deck with my husband as he drank beer. (I have only told him that I am 'taking a break' from alcohol. Not ready go any further than that yet).

Anyway I got up at 6:30 this morning and I feel great. So I think it was worth it! Hope you're feeling great today, too.
