You are on Day #3?

every hour that passes you will get a little stronger and feel more normal....the only thing I can suggest is a good light diet, some vitamins if they agree with your stomach and to try to relax with some deep breathing to help calm yourself...you have 4 days before you return to work, by then you CAN feel much better.

Hey Dub,

I've been following your posts over the last few days. I know you're struggling right now, but things will get better. As Fandy suggested, try not to think too far ahead yet, there's time.

Take care

One day at a time man. Just concentrate on keeping sober and getting through it all 'just for today'.

Once you are through this then you never have to go through any of it ever again...

Peace

You've got four days until Monday. You should be feeling a lot better by then. Treat yourself well, with lots of water and juice and whatever food you can tolerate. Vitamins, especially B vitamins, will help too. Stay strong, this will be over before you know it and you never have to do it again!

Hi Dubs:

Like others said, Monday is a ways off still, and I'm hoping you'll feel much better. But if you don't, I'd like to ask you if you really have to go to work. My point is, I know I would put all of these ridiculous expectations on myself and think that my workplace would grind to a halt without me.

What a crock. But that twisted mindset had me feeling guilty if I considered missing work when my mother was dying in a hospital. I think back on it now and wonder how my thinking got so off track and why I didn't spend more time with her.

Your health and that of your family comes first. Period. Work will always be there. Pls. take care of yourself and them.

Hang in there Dub! You are about over the hump. Remember, regardless of what happens, don't drink! If you can manage it, you will realize the benefits soon.
