Score!!!

No I do not mean that...(looking at you anvilhead LOL)

There are a couple of thrift stores plus a goodwill all within a mile radius of where I work. On nice days...Well whenever the weather is under 100 degrees, and there are no thunderstorms here I will take a walk at lunch and browse the stores seeing what they have, especially in music CDs as I am an audiophile and always looking to expand my collection.

So today I hit the biggest of the thrift stores and start making some killer finds right off the bat. Sade's greatest hits, and Enya's greatest hits on CD....pretty much brand new CD's too. anyway I picked up a few others including a nice big band compilation CD.

The grand poobah of the treasure hunt today though was while I was peeking in the book section of the store where everything is only 1 smackeroo....Low and behold what did I find staring back at me between two book spines with Dr. Phils cubby cheeks smiling at me????

Codependent no more....for 1 whole clam...

Score! :bounce

I had been planning on hitting a local mom and pop bookstore in town and looking for it. I just had a wild hair to take a peek in the book section today much to my surprise.

I had a lot of things like this happen during the "trudging through hell" years. I have come to realize it was/is my HP.

Before I believed in all this HP "nonsense" I used to fancy myself lucky, lots of nice coincidences throughout my life. In retrospect it was HP taking wonderful care of me even though I denounced His/Her/Its existence. That's something.

Thanks and God bless us all,
Coyote

Recently heard at AA meeting...."There are no coincidences in life, it is merely God's way of remaining anonymous"

Very Good for you. Too funny I have been wanting to buy the book and visit the thrift stores looking for it, and well, with my kiddos in tow, I usually don't have a lot of time to look, however have run across a few inspirational books, one by Dr. Phil, Family First for a quarter, and also a couple good books on parenting with love and logic.

I love the thrift stores!

Brings back some memories. I bought it and read it after my divorce 10 years ago and then gave it to my neighbor who needed it for her sister 2 years ago...that was about the same time I met my XABF. I'm not saying it wasn't nice to pay it forward!!! But, maybe I wasn't as healed as I thought I was???? Ha ha ha...laughing at myself right now. But to be able to laugh about it feels great!

Whether someone believes in a HP or not I recommend a book called "when god winks at you."

Some amazing true stories in that book.
