Last night I was at the grocery store and went down the beer and wine isle (it is near the soda isle). Anyway, I stopped at my usual place and saw my little 4 packs of white zin that I love to drink while heading home. I looked at them for a minute and guess what pops into my mind -- Now how on earth am I going to let my sober friends on SR down. yep, y'all are my accountability.

so thank you all for being a big part of my staying sober.

We all pretty much have
to go grocery shopping
at one time or another.

Today some many yrs.
sober down the road the
alcohol isle still exists....

There is no way i can erase
alcohol from my existance
nor memory.

It just aint gonna happen....

With the tools and knowledge
of my alcoholism firmly instilled
in my brain, i can look
down that isle and see POISON.

A whole bunch of bottle with
skull and cross bones on it.

I can also say, but for the
Grace of my Higher Power
and an awesome recovery
program, i could still be that
one loading up on beer and
wine, which kicked my butt too
many times, and soon to be
locked up or dead.

Today i stay sober for me.
No one can make me stay
sober but I.

Me, Myself and I.

I choose to stay sober today
by totally obstaining from
drinking "POISON".
