53 hrs without sleep
well on day seven the first couple days were pretty bad like i said i was up for 53 hrs at one point. starting to sleep better hopefully im past the sleepless nights. now i guess its just a matter of filling my days and making sure i go to bed tired at night. work helps alot but i got 4 days off every 4 days, i will figure it out, i have to. by the way yes i am starting to feel better.
Hi BT,
very glad to hear that you are feeling better.
Insomnia is a nightmare! Don't know what to say except just ride it out (as you are doing) and it will pass. I am just beginning to sleep more easily, but I will sabotage this if I'm not careful by allowing myself to lie there worrying / feeling guilty, drinking too much coffee (20 cups daily is too much, right?) not getting up early if I don't have to etc.
My body is crying out for routine! Maybe a regular bedtime is a good idea, regardless of how tired I feel?
Anyway, thanks for the post and hope this eases soon.

I'm glad you're feeling better and getting some sleep.
With four days off in a row, my suggestion would be to plan to keep busy. Do you have any hobbies, sports that you're interested in, a dog to walk, projects around the house? It helped me in the early days to plan ahead.
