I am happy to say that the night sweats have finally stopped! I was beginning to wonder if I was destined to wake up freezing cold and drenched in sweat for the rest of my life.

I feel really good mentally and physically. Still don't want to drink and thanking God for this miracle. I am feeling better with every day that passes. I keep remembering what I went through and don't ever want to experience that again.

Every now and then, something that I said and did when drinking comes flooding back to my mind. I'm 42 and have been drinking since I was 17 so I have a TON of horrible situations. I've lived in Toronto, Canada - London, England - Boston, New York City and Miami. I drank and drugged my way through each of those places and created a huge amount of wreckage wherever I went. I'm using those memories as fuel to not drink today and create more wreckage.

I have a long way to go and a lot of crap to deal with due to my drinking. But I know that if I don't drink, I can face it all and move forward with dignity and self respect. I am so ready to live my life like that and keep reminding myself that I already am, one day at a time.
