The End of Fighting for Custody
The End of Fighting for Custody
My sister passed away last night of a drug overdose. I want to thank everyone here for all their support over the last couple of years throughout this painful journey. You have been a great comfort and great friends to me and I am enormously appreciative for all your wise words and warm thoughts.

(((((Lisa))))) - oh sweetie, I'm so, so sorry. I know this is something you worried about, but we truly prayed it wouldn't happen. How are you? How is your niece? I mean, I know the obvious, but having been through this with you, I guess I'm being a little selfish and I want a little reassurance that you KNOW theres nothing you could have done to prevent this.
You, your niece, your husband your parents and all who loved your sister are in my prayers.
I do believe your sister is finally at peace...something she hasn't been in so very long, but I know this is so very hard on those of you left behind. I have tears running down my face, thinking of you and your family
Hugs and prayers!

Oh, Lisa......I'm sooooo sorry to hear this. I've thought of you, your husband, and niece a lot lately and have been wondering how you were.....
I'm just speechless. Hugs for you all, and prayers, too.

Lisa,
Sometimes, even when we expect our loved ones may not be long for this world, nonetheless, it hurts when they leave us.
Perhaps grief counseling might help you, your niece and family to move through the stages of loosing a loved one.

Everyone, thank you enormously. I know it's a process to work through these feelings so I'm hesitant to try and tell you how we're feeling as it seems to change minute to minute. But we are holding onto each other tightly and we won't let go.
I can't imagine all the emotions you all are experiencing. I believe in an afterlife and I'm going to believe your sister will do now what she couldn't in this life... watch over, protect and guide her daughter.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
