I have been drug free for 6 weeks today. I'm still having a hard time not drinking. I am trying to get a job that requires a drug and alcohol test. I have been hired as long as I can pass a physical,alcohol test and then will have to take classes and and the another test. It will be a 7 days a week and 12 hr shifts. I feel it will help me get sober. I know I can do the job. My worry is the alcohol test. Does anyone know how long alcohol stays in your body. I'm going for the test tomorrow.

An EtG urine alcohol test can detect the alcohol metabolite ethyl glucuronide (EtG) when alcohol was ingested within the past three or four days.

I will be taking the test tomorrow and I have had a couple of shots today. Probably won't be a big deal as long as it's not drugs. But, they will be screening for alcohol.

You should prepare yourself for a possibility of a positive reading for alcohol Tribal.

I have no idea of what levels they do or don't detect or what they might consider an acceptable level, altho I expect zero is usually the standard, I'm afraid....but as others have said 3 or 4 days seems to be the normal length.
