Send some good mojo my way...

Let me tell you, enrolling in college full-time after I hit 50 has been one of the hardest, yet most rewarding things I've done in my life. Fall semester will be my last!

That being said, I got my textbook for Intro to Philosophy today, logged into the classroom, and OMG!

I need all the good mojo I can get! I've got the Philosophy class, Health Record Apps IV, Specialty Coding, and I'm finishing up Legal Aspect of Health Info.

Summer classes move like a wildfire. One-semester classes crammed into 8 weeks! I've got over half my reading done already in Philosophy.

If I'm not around much till the first part of August, you will know why!!!!!!!!

(((DeVon))) sending you all the good mojo, prayers, energy, and good vibes I can.

Guess you can't get out of ONE of those classes by saying "my dog ate my book", huh? Pretty sure baby Ku'a would like the help you out on that

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Hey Freedom,

I graduated at 44, with all of my 20 something buddies! I loved school! Even if they did refer to me as the old man, and I referred to them as the young punks!

Took me 6 years at night to get my degree. Worked 40 hours and had to keep my thinking cap on for another 3 hours or so a night.

No wonder I can't remember s++t today, I fried my brain!

Good luck, I know you will do just fine!

Dang, I was ONLY 35! Man I loved it too.

If I ever win the lottery, look out higher education.

And yeah Freedom, summer terms are the worst.

Thanks and God bless us all,
Coyote

Great going! I graduated at 48. It isn't as hard as you think and you will enjoy every minute of it. Savor it all. Wish you well!

Wow - I mean you studying philosophy is like an astronaut who finally gets to do her walk in space! You seem like someone who has struggled with the big questions many times! Should be interesting!

peace & good luck - every class brings you closer!

Wow! That is quit a load! Just think of the huge woosh of breath--I MADE IT when you get it all done--and you will.

And, I think you could write a philosophy book and teach the class so that one will be a walk in the park--but good mojo coming your way for all of your classes.

I was 35 when I made the decision to go to tech school for computer programming. I had been washing dishes for 3 years at a restaurant to support my two daughters and myself.

The average age was 20, and I didn't even know how to turn a computer on!

There are a lot of non-traditional students out there now, and most of my 'classmates' (I do it all online) are around my age. They've been in the health information field for years, but can't move up any further in their jobs without the formal education.

I'm off to hit the books, boys and girls!
