Your own sobriety birthday is
a celebration of ur one day a
a time collected together in
recovery to get you were u r
today.
One infant step at a time.
I remember as a newcomer
that each month when i picked
up a chip it meant a little
something even if i was still
on a rollercoaster of emotions.
The more i stayed sober living
the program in my everyday
life, the more grateful i felt.
Many times we go thru the
motions as i recall hearing
just bring ur body and the
mind will follow.
We talk the talk but to walk
the walk or put into action
our program then do we feel
apart of an awesome fellowship.
Your own recovery program is
urs and no one elses. Embrace
it cause it belongs to you.
Your own sobriety birthday is
a special day. Special to you.
Its represents the first day of
ur new life as u leave the old
one behind.
This new life will be more re-
warding than u can ever imagine.
You may not see or comprehend
it today, but u will down the
road. Just wait and see.
Celebrate your sobriety birthday
accordingly. It's your special day.
