MY HP sense of humor

So last night I am getting our things seperated. I had quite a bit of stuff in my small car. But first let me take you back about 2 years ago.

September 2008
I wake up one morning to find my car gone. I was like what the @#$@! I thought about calling the police, until I realized that my XAGF had taken it! Not only did she steal my car, she was gone for 3 days! I won't bore you with that adventure. Anyway when I got my car back, my back passenger door was jammed, with the seatbelt wedged in the door. It has been that way ever since.

Tonight 6/5/2010
I am back to unpacking the car. I am outside talking to God and asking him a bunch of questions and for reassurance and peace. I turned around to get more stuff out of the car and didn't realize I was trying to get into the backseat through the door that was still friggin' broke.

It opened for the first time, since that night.

I take it as God telling me all your doors are open now, you are a free man!

I love it! HP always sends such great signs. I would agree this was a great sign.

Oh WOW, how wonderful to have Him open your way for you, like this. I haven't always believed that God was a loving Father, or that He has a real sense of humour, but I believe both of those things fervently, now, and above all.....I trust.

God bless

That is great!

There is a book, in fact I have it somewhere around here. If I recall correctly the name of it is "God Winks". This story reminded of that book.

Thanks for that, sounded like it came just at the right time and as we so know HP, HIS timing is just perfect. I hope you will enjoy being free, live it one day at a time, appreciate even the small things! Blessings

What a beautiful real life metaphor! Thanks for posting that. I love when things like that happen. And now I am definitely going to check out God Winks.

I don't doubt for one second that God assisted with the timing, mechanisms, and unwedging, etc..... but the door didn't just fall open by itself... you physically had to open it....

Many times God opens the way... it's up to us to physically try it. God unlocked the door... you opened it.

I love when that kind of stuff happens. It is amazing and fantastic--and God met you right at where you were at that point and gave you a chance to laugh. Sounds like God was saying welcome back to your whole life! Thanks for sharing.

I sent in my story to God Winks. They sent me back a note saying they will use it and they will contact me when they do! I am going to send it to my XAGF's friends................not really.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but I had the same type of thing happened to me yesterday. I have 16 gourds on a pole that birds called martins nest in. One of the babies left the nest for the first time but just went a few feet to the roof. All of the other birds were chirping at him and Mom and Dad were flying around him. Finally after enough coaxing he took the leap of faith and flew. All of the others stopped chirping and they all flew around for a few minutes with him. It was like God telling me that I can fly, too.
