Quick! What's one happy thing about today?

I know there's a separate forum for the gratitude list, but I'd be curious to hear from all of you in this forum...what's one thing that is good about TODAY?

For me: I have a 24 mile bike ride planned, the weather is BEAUTIFUL (esp. after weeks of on-and-off-again rain), and I can't wait to get out in nature.

You?

I'm enjoying just hanging out at home with mr cmc (on our 4 day WE) watching tv & movies. I'm thankful for a snack of Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries that hubby's stirring up for me as I send this reply.
It's a beautiful day here with birds singing and sunny skies.

Nice thread!

Infact the weekend was looking grim - then I did some things to make my life a little more comfortable and it felt good!

One good thing out of many good things

The sun is shining and I didn't call him because I needed a bit of a break. And it was suprisingly easy to not call.

I have a severe pain condition that flares up and I have to medicate just to deal. Then I'm drugged up and feel like throwing up. I hate narcotics hate them. So I wasn't feeling very grateful. Thanks for reminding me becuase I'm just pissed.

Well I didn't have to throw up to feel better. I"m grateful for that. And grateful I hvae food in the house for the kids and me. Grateful it's finally warm. yeah, that too.

Thank you!

Work wasn't bad last night, and the only bad news I had to give was taken pretty well. (Unlike the night before.)

I got a decent (day's) sleep

My garden is lush with all this rain

My laundry is done, the dishes are run, and my crockpot is full of of simmering cinnamon peach butter

The mango-peach jam I made this afternoon canned beautifully

My cat is headbutting me and making me laugh

My life is serene and peaceful

It's a great day.

i have a clementis i'm going to plant outside the front door and put up some wire mesh for it to climb up.

a friend is bringing over his lawnmower and i can mow the yard.

i'm going to repot the aloe plant and separate out some babies into smaller pots.

my rhubarb has 4 new leaves!

Great weekend with my parents/sisters and kids - swimming in the pool, cookout, and just generally hanging out together the past 2 days and today relaxing with my kids!

I'll get to leave my daughter swimming in the consequences for her choices this weekend while I go out and enjoy brunch with some very old and dear friends I only get to see about once a year (for the last 35+ years!).

Oh, and we got some good rain last night which was badly needed.

The community pool is FINALLY open this weekend. I was on call sat and sun and sadly, had to go into work for a while, so LMC was disappointed over no swimming.

But today.......OFF call and we'll be hitting the pool when it opens at noon. Swim for 2 hours, take a break till around 4, then go back for a couple of hours.

In case you're not counting that's TWO pool trips in one day! Whoo hoo! We'd stay all day but we'd get cooked.

LMC's got a new goggle/snorkel set and a new suit. Watching this water-baby in TOTAL bliss is THE BEST. I think in the pool is where she is the happiest.

Oh, and we made a ton of extra money this week for being on call. We're blessed!

Thanks and God bless us all,
Coyote

My ride yesterday was amazing and I had barely any hip pain while riding. Saw 5 deer, hawks, and a coyote. Had a great bbq with husband and good friends. Today--repeat! Another good ride planned followed by spending time out in the sun with friends and family. Life is good today.

Yesterday, granddaughter Alexandria and I watched a darling young girl feed Normie the ring-tailed lemur at Tanganyika Wildlife Park...

and we and several others in the group got up close and personal with the reticulated giraffes...

Today I'm enjoying a cup of coffee while a cool breeze blows through the window after rain/the cool front passed through yesterday.
