Why me, God?

I took my golden retrievers and our little mutt and my 3 children out to the country last night to romp and play.

My male golden came running up with a tiny kitten in his mouth. The kitten is all right (today), but couldn't really walk after being mauled by my dog last night.

So now I have 3 children, 5/6 dogs (another long story), 2 cats, a goldfish and a KITTEN.

There is never a dull moment at my house.

When it comes to animals, I think God chuckles and says "Why not you, DeVon?"

I could tell you stories all day long of how each of my cats have come to me over the past 20+ years.

LOL - as to the dogs, I had 6, but neighbors down the street asked if my jack russell could come live at their ranch -- he is always getting out (bolting), the neighbors hate his barking and call me all the time, he has just been a lot of trouble. So I said yes.

But they feel in love with him and want to keep him at their house in town, which is semi-okay with me, but he keeps coming back to my house during the day and they take him to their house at night. This has only been going on for 3 days, but that is why he is part-mine and part-theirs.

And now the kitten.

I"m with Zbear. God LOVES you so much!

Likewise, I've ended up, mysteriously, with three chihuahuhas. My friend calls me a teeny dog horder. I had one when I left AH in September. The other two came to me.

Cats are bizarre, albeit lovely, critters to me. I don't understand cat behavior but am learning to just accept it. I open my eyes in the middle of the night sometimes to find my cat, Dr. Snuggs, sitting at the corner of my bed purring loudly, his eyes ginormous and basically spinning slowly like in the cartoons. He's always staring right at me. Why? why does he do this?

Congratulations on the baby. Brought to you by your family's very own version of the stork. The kids must be so happy!

Transformyself, he's telling you he's comortble and that he loves you. I have a big cat that does that, too You can just see the love in his eyes. He's so sweet.

I think it's great that your dog brought the kitten to you. He could have just mauled it more and dropped it to die. I hope the baby will be ok. H
