I was promoted today!!
I have only been there a little over a month and already they are promoting me with pay raise. They said they like my work ethic and I am the only one who comes close to doing as good a job as the supervisor.
That came out of the blue today.
I still dont have internet at home so I dont get on much.
I have thinking about how gratitude and patience has really been paying off for the past months. When I find myself getting in a hurry or starting to worry about things. I just stop it and be glad for what I have and know that in time, as long as I keep doing what I am suppose to. Everything will be fine.
I have had some serious tests of my recovery and patience here since I have been home. And some were tougher than others. But I made it. And all it took was to stop and use the tools I have been given. It wasnt hard.
It is truly amazing what you can (or wont) do when you stop acting on impulse all the time.
That was my biggest problem. Not even stopping long enough to think about anything.
I cant afford to just go charging head first into anything anymore. Especially if it involves my recovery.
It is a constant task of staying aware of where my thoughts are and where they are going. How I perceive things in life. No matter how simple they seem.
I just try to be grateful and look at things as positively as possible. Do whats right and all will be well in the universe.
I feel really good right now.

Nice one, Trish. What you said about awareness is soooo true. One of the main instructions for scuba diving when you're down deep and getting agitated is: Stop, Breathe, and Look Around. It works, and it's working for you...
