Good morning all.

Its 06.30 here and I've been up for about an hour. Can't believe how fresh I feel. Slept better than I have done for a while, didn't wake up with sweat pouring off me. It's my last day in work today until next Monday, so after today will be a challenge! It may get tough over the next three days, but I'm staying determined and know where to come for support.

I am trying to make peace with my other half and aplogise to him. but last night he was too tired to talk. He's heard it all before I know.

I AM GOING TO BEAT THIS!!

I am so happy for you. Have you ever tried to quit before? and for how long? Is this the reason why you say other half has heard it all before? I am sure he is seeing how well you are doing and trying to beat this, he is still there isn't he? give him time, time heals. Thinking and praying for you.

I've always hid my drinking from him, used all kinds of excuses and fibs for my behaviour, but last weekend it was very apparant what state I was in! His daugher had major surgery yesterday and I should be supporting him!

I think a good strong filter coffee or cuppachino (my favourite) perhaps for cake we could have some decadent fairy cakes or a ''gewone Melk Tert''! hows things going your side?

Yayyyy and hearty congrats. Keep it going. We can't change anyone but ourselves but each day sober is a blessing and over time.....the non believers just might believe.

Well I did attempt to go to A.A this evening. Set off, arrived at the wrong place, it took me ages to find the correct venue, then cos i was so late I didn't have the courage to go in. Just sat in the car park for a while. I'll try again now I know where it is! Never did have a sense of direction.

Well day 4 is coming to an end. Bring on day 5.

Arranged to have a busy day tomorrow. Food shopping and I'm having my babies for a while. I'll still make time for coffee though!!

Morning, glad you tried to go the right thoughs were there, I also get hopelessy lost but now i have got myself a new phone, which has a gps system on, so i never get lost now!
