100 Days
Today it’s a hundred days for me, and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you here for your help in getting me here. Through your struggles, your compassion, and your selfless and persistent advice you have helped me overcome my own lifelong struggle. Three and a half months ago I doubt if anyone who knew me would seriously believe I could stop drinking. Four things enabled me to do it: the admission I was an alcoholic, the realization that I wanted to be sober more than I wanted to carry on drinking, taking it just one day at a time, and the incredible support of all of you here. Believe me, giving up drinking takes nothing away from your life. It adds immeasurably to the quality of your days. Also, in some uncanny way, it opens up new doors to a better, more lucid world. Suddenly, you start seeing new stars in the galaxy of your life, and the view is infinitely clearer and much, much brighter! Thankyou, you are truly a special group of people.

Loveon2legs congrats on 103 days.. . you do realize, if you keep going, I'll never be as old as you! Many thanks too to... ******{AWOL}}}, I wanted to thank YOU! many of your earlier posts I really identified with even though we are on opposites sides of the world...your contributions helped keep me going and make the improvement of almost 81 days sober.
