Welcome! Glad you're here. There's a lot of really cool people here with tons of different experiences . A wealth of knowledge and support resides in this site.
I'm on Day 43, and I've found meetings to be integral in my recovery. Do you have a sponsor?
Thanks for joining us!

No sponsor just yet. I chatted with a few women, but they either haven't had enough time sober, or they had family/work obligations.
I went to a fabulous women's meeting last night, so I remain hopeful.

Hello Recovering Faith - 2 weeks is great! And it sounds like you're doing the right thing and having success. The nice thing about SR is that when we're feeling a little anxious about drinking/using, there's always someone here to talk to. Hope you'll post more as time goes on! :ghug3
Just keep showing up; you'll meet the right one. Those meetings are a big help to me. I feel safe there.
Welcome! I'm new here too and I just love this site so far.
Meetings, getting a sponsor right away, calling other alcoholics, and getting work on my program saved my butt this last time around. It sounds like you're doing all the right things. Stick close to the "winners", those who have what you want and who work a good program.
Living sober has been more wonderful than I could have imagined. I hope you will find the same joy in your recovery.

Eating Lots of Lollies!!! and exercising heaps seems sort of odd I guess but it keeps my mind off it. I didn't think I would think about it as much as I have been but so far so good, the weekends seem to be the hardest but I'm just focusing on having one good day at a time.
