Auction Day Today
Today is the day he will be selling his house. His house that he's dead mother left him six years ago. His house that he took 2 mortgages out on so he didn't have to get a job and so he could keep spending money on alcohol. He has nowhere to go. He owes $150 thousand dollars to the bank.
I feel so incredibly sad. I need strenght to get through this day and not cry for things that I cannot change. This had nothing to do with me and I have to keep telling myself that. Sadly I can't get away from this auction as it is two doors down from mine.

I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this.
(((hugs)))
I know how it feels to watch your alcoholic lose their home.
You may be grieving the loss of what could have been. Do something special for yourself today. Maybe something chocolate?

Even knowing that it has nothing to do with you, it is still a painful time.
His parents probably worked hard to get that house, and he tosses it away on booze and his idea of the good life, as if all that work meant zilch.
Can you go out for a few hours, and do something for you, something special that you would like? It would certainly take you away from watching HIS disaster due to HIS actions, and feeling sad for him.
God bless

I can feel your pain...there is still a loss even when you aren't in the mode of trying to control any longer. I agree with the others-even though you cannot move, can you go somewhere else for a while? Have coffee with a friend-do some errands, go for a walk, etc?
I think it might be better than peeking out from behind the curtains-
