New to the forum, Day 5

Hey, I am new here. Today is me and my husbands 5 day of recovery, we have been taking pain meds for over 3 years. We finally decided we have had enough, and went on a vacation to get away from everything. We came back Tuesday, thankgoodness we both had wensday off. Today was the first time back to work, we was TIRED. We have been taking vitamins and b6, making sure we eat right. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. We don't have the get up and go, plus its sooo hard to even excerise. I don't know how we are going to build our energy up. Tomorrow I am getting b12 hopefully that will help some. We was taking up to 10, lorcets 10 a day each. I hope I didn't just break a forum rule. I have registered on my droid, and it is kinda hard get and read everything. I am sooo tired, I don't want to sit infront of the computer : / but I heard this is a great place for help. Thanks

My boyfriend (should have been fiance by now but alcohol contributed to that one) is staying sober with me also. It helps a lot.

Hi GaPeach

Welcome

I have no experience with lorcets but it sounds to me you're doing all the right things and going through some pretty common stuff.

Please check with your Dr though if you're at all worried

We also have a substance abuse forum if you want to read down there
Substance Abuse - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hope to see you 'round some more
D

Welcome to SR!!! You will find tons of support here and I am glad to see that you and your husband have both decided to live life without the pills. I don't know much about pills but what I can tell you is that I am an alcoholic and I have been able to finally start recovery since finding the much needed support of SR.

Withdrawal usually leaves most of us feeling tired but you both seem to be doing really well so stay strong and know your are now part of community who is full of support and encouragement.

All the Best!
