Lois Wilson was one of the 20th century's most important women.
Her tireless efforts and vision made Al-Anon the organization it is today.
It continues to attract members through its message of hope and renewal.
I am grateful. Al-Anon gives me the courage to change the things I can
and accept the rest.

I heard a clip on the radio yesterday and I cringed. It was of Winona crying saying I'll fight for you till the very end. I hope they show the reality that WE can't do it for them... I hope they don't portray it as a powerful love story or that love saved him. We all know love is not enough when it comes to addiction.
Thanks for the reminder

I liked it.
I appreciated the honesty that alcoholism affects the whole family.
I appreciated the honesty that alcoholism creates great loss financially and emotionally.
I appreciated the honesty that sobriety doesn't fix everything.
I thought there were some really good scenes that showed the raw emotion.
