Hi Jencee

You're in exactly the right place to find people to talk to here. You'll find a lot of support.

I was an alcoholic - I'd do ok and then fall back down too - for 20 years mostly.

I finally worked out the only way for me to stop the whole cycle was to give up drinking - the last three years of my life without booze have been fantastic.

Whatever your drug of choice was, I think the basic principle is still the same

I hope we can help you as much as the people here have helped me.

Welcome!
D

((jencee)) - welcome to SR!!

You're in the right place!! There are a whole lot of people here who totally understand what you are going through and are very supportive. I've got 3 years clean (crack) after years and years of abusing other drugs before finding crack.

You may also want to check out the substance abuse forum...this forum is great...so is that one.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

You are in the right place. I have been on this site for four days alchohol is my drug. I never thought I would make it through the weekend. The support and advise I received has been over whelming and so helpful. Even reading other peoples stories and being able to relate to them and knowing I am not alone.

I wish you the best in your recovery and send you a big hug of support!

jencee welcome to SR, congrats on your 3 days. Take it one day at a time, ask questions, reach out for help where ever you can find it, check out NA or AA, you will find people that have been where you are at now & more importantly they have experience in staying clean & sober one day at a time & would love nothing more then helping you walk down the clean & sober path with them.
