Is Al-anon for me too?
I am trying to get the courage up to go to a meeting but isn't Al-anon for families who are dealing with alcohol?
I guess I fit in there too AH is an alcoholic who hasn't had a drink in 3 years but is now using pills. Is there an NA group for families?

yes, it's called nar-anon. however, al-anon is very well established and it may be difficult to find a nar-anon meeting in your area. yes, you may go to al-anon. if you wanna be technical about your "qualifier", he IS alcoholic. doesn't matter whether he is dry or not.
Many here attend Al-anon because there are more meetings and most are very accepting of us. The meetings aren't about the substance, they are about us recovering from codependency and work well for any of us.
My home fellowship was CoDA (Codependents Anonymous) another 12 step program similar to Al-anon and Nar-anon. Maybe check and see of there are any meetings in your area.
Whichever you choose, I promise you that you will be glad you went. Meetings literally saved my life.
Hugs
