I need support

Hey guys, I am new to this and I need support. I stopped takind vicodin yesterday at 10 am so I have been sober for almost 36 hours, it's not a long time yet but I am doing it.

I am doing it at home because I haven't been on a lot. I have been on it for a long time though.

I have been ok so far! It hasn't been too bad so far. I am definetly ready because I have a feeling it will a lot worse. Anybody that has gone through pain medicine withdrawel know when it start to get the worse?

I just kind of feel like i need some support and a group of people to tell what is going on.

Anyway that you for reading. Should I post another place also it this ok.

You have posted in the right place, and I'm glad you found us.

It's great that you have stopped taking the vicoden. Have you talked to your dr about your plan?

I hope you can get through this, and please know that we do understand how hard this is.

Hi scaredgirl

Welcome. This is a great place to post - but you could also look at our Substance Abuse forum as well, if you liked

Substance Abuse - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I hope you'll see a Dr if you find yourself at all concerned.

Don't know how much you've been taking or for how long but if you aren't feeling like complete sh*t by now, you might be okay. Give it another twelve hours and if you don't feel like you have the flu magnified two hundred times, you should be okay as far physical wds.

I don't know much about that drug but I do want to say
I do know the hard part of quitting begins when the detoxing ends.
Good luck.
