Oh Barb, to have the courage to follow that small, still voice that tells you to do something
that is strange, or terrifying.

Oh, how does the intro at AlAnon go... no hurts too great to be lessened...
I did something similar with my former mother in law this time last year; I thought she probably disliked me and held me responsible for the divorce and would have nothing to do with me. Instead, it went fine and she was warm and welcoming.
She died unexpectedly in November. I am SO GLAD that I listened to the small still voice too.
I'm happy for the possibility of healing for your relationship with your sons!
