I found out from a very good friend that his girlfriend's AS was in hospital again from her drinking. Not a very good prognosis. Her stomach basically has quadrupled in size, liver is shot. She can't get a liver transplant because she is an alcoholic and if she stays sober for 7 years, then she would qualify. The thing is, she won't make it 7 years.

My prayers are with her, her 3 teenage daughters, and family members who not only has had to live with her alcoholism, but will have to pick up the pieces for the girls (Dad isn't in picture).

It is just amazing how this disease runs like Seven Degrees of Separation, it seems to touch everyone in one way or another.
