been missing you all
Hi everyone,
I've been gone a bit, but have been checking in and out sporadically.
Not too much is new, oldest son, (37) Casey, still in prison until March 2011.
If you all remember, he was busted for drug possession, selling, whatever.
Yougest son, (31)struggling. Still shows signs of his addictive behavior.
Drinking, occasional, but not back to any "Big" drugs, as far as I can see.
And me...still attending Alanon, trying to help out as much as I can with the jailbirds baby, Aiden, 11 months old.
His mom is 21 and attending college and working, so I try to ease some of her load. I can see she is slowly outgrowing the babys father.
Mr. Mooselips doing well.
I'm enjoying life before the jailbird is set free, because I know that's when fireworks will erupt.
I'm sure going to try checking in more often, I miss you all!

(((Moose))) - I'm SOOOO glad to see you back here...I've missed you!!
Glad that Aiden is doing well, and I guess I'm not really surprised that his mama is outgrowing his daddy...sad, but that's what happens sometimes. I'm glad that you get to spend time with him and help her out...blessings for you all!
Hope this means you will be sticking around for a while!

Little Aiden is 11 months old!!! Wow, time goes fast. And how lucky Little Babymoose is to have a wonderful grandmother like you.
I have a feeling that when Casey gets out of jail, you'll be just fine. Things will have changed for him...but just maybe he'll have changed too, for the better.
Keeping both your boys in my prayers, as well as you and Mr. Moose and Mama Moose too, and now Babymoose.
I'm in the sunny south (will send you a note, lol) and am glad things are going so well in your corner of the world.

Ann...how can it possibly be that you're there, and I'm stuck here in 12 inches of snow?
Next winter we're planning on Florida....for sure.
(although I'd really miss that grandbaby...

Gads it's good to "see" you. I am happy to hear that all is well in Mooseland. I bet you and that grandbaby will have a good and strong relationship no matter what. He and his mommy are lucky to have you in their lives. I keep you and your sons in my prayers, and I really hope that C will learn his life lessons and come out of jail a new and balanced man with a good life ahead of him.
I think we should ALL plan a winter trip to Florida next year. This snow-on-top-of-snow- on-top-of-ice stuff is just a bit much, doncha think?

Yes the little grandbaby is cute and adorable. I kind of equate it to puppies and kittens, they're all cute when they're little! LOL
Actually, I wasn't wishing for a grandbaby at all. I love him dearly, and it's difficult to put this into words but the timing wasn't right. (IS it ever? Now that I think about it) if you understand what I mean. Although I wouldn't trade him for the world. And we love him dearly.
Her mother feels the same way. She wasn't ready for a grandchild.
And I think the poor girl was scammed into having the baby. That he feels he has a firm grip on her, now that they have a child together. Because she's only 21 and he's 37.
That idea/dream of his, may not come to fruition because, she is attending college, (to be a teacher) and working, and caring for the baby, and she is somewhat resentful because he's not able to help her. Actually, she's kind of outgrowing him.
Here's the thing: It wouldn't be bad if there was a FAMILY. A normal mother/father kind of thing. Then I could nonchalantly say, gee would you like to go out for a movie on Sat.? We would LOVE to watch the baby for you.
