Still excited, but something is missing...

I'm still in great spirits, but at the same time just have this big empty feeling like something is missing. I'm guessing because this past week and a half I haven't been able to make my normal everyday meetings. Which right now is understandable due to some extremely nasty weather here over the past couple of weeks. All kinds of snow and ice and my normal rides are trying to avoid all the icey roads and all which I understand completely. If I had my own car I'd be avoiding them as well. And I understand that I can't control things like what the weather will be like.

I just have been so used to going to so many meetings over the past year it feels so strange not to be there. Which to me is a good thing. It lets me know how important they are to me and how important the people that are in my life right now are. But, I'm glad I get to be on here tonight with all the wonderful people here tonight. Thanks all for letting me share.

Yeah, hopefully so. In one hand it's nice and in the other it's driving me nuts I got so used to keeping busy it's hard to stay still and just relax. Oh well. Best thing I can do is try to enjoy it to the best of my ability.

Thanks all for letting me share.

That's why we're all here. We take turns supporting and being supported.

I know exactly how you feel, Cof.

I have to laugh when I wonder why I got sober just before winter and during a recession of all things!! :rotfxko

It just makes us more creative in finding other support mechanisms while we're hunkered down.

Stay safe with all the weather you folks are getting tho - it could be worse...you could be shoveling yourself out of all that snow with a hangover! Ugh.

Very true HumbleBee. I am however lucky to not be shoveling my way out with a year sober. I feel priviliged an honoured that someone else is doing all the hard work for me so I can be lazy. haha
