Lost my temper today

Wow do I really suck at being able to handle my emotions. Sigh....oh well, still sober so that's what counts. Can't say drinking didn't enter my mind today though, that's like a given but I look forward to when that stops or at least slows down. Day 3 for me.

Emotional sobriety has been much more difficult for me than putting down the drink. That's where the Serenity Prayer comes in for me, and all those slogans....This too shall pass....Easy does it......One day at a time.....Let go let God......etc.

It'll get easier. Unstable is too polite a word for what I was like while drinking and certainly right after. You'll even out, you're moving along right on time. :-)

Give yourself time for your body and brain to recover and function normally again. Congrats on three days. Keep it up and be good to yourself.

I was always told don't worry about "getting in touch with your feelings" in sobriety, they will be getting in touch with you.

ummm..... yeah

It gets better though over time

actually it gets different

then it gets real

then it gets real different

"Buckle Up Dorothy, you're not in Kansas any more" like the guy says in The Matrix

Ha! I've never heard that one before. I still learn something new everyday!

Thanks

I like that, about your emotions getting in touch with you. Made me smile.
