Progressive nature of alcoholism
Progressive nature of alcoholism
Hi Everyone in my SR family.
I read here more than I post but gain much support insight and wisdom
I read so much about the progresive nature of alcoholism. I know everyone will be different but to me the progressive nature seems to be insidious. Often I think that is one reason I have stayed. I only notice the worsening in retrospect and it is little by ittle interspersed with lots of good times.
My AP hid his drinking while we didn't live together. justified and excused drunken incindents in the first year we did live together . i knew no better.
I called him on it 12 months ago. He agreed to get help...quack quack
We didn't live together that year 2009. Now 4 weeks living toether this year he is worse than he was 12 months ago. A daily consumption to varying degree, complete denial it is a problem and refusal to change.
What are others experience with this? The progressive nature of it all?
