A song for those moving on

Hey everyone. I may be totally behind on this, and maybe everyone else has heard it (I've actually heard it a million times, but never REALLY listened to the words), but the song Scars by Papa Roach is pretty amazing..

It really hits something in my heart and I'm going to make it my abfs ringtone on my phone. Thought that many of you might really relate to it as well. I specifically thought of Callie and Sofacat and Teggie and everyone else removing themselves from an addict.

Here are the Lyrics:

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And my scars remind me that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

Drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
I'm pissed cause you came around
Why don't you just go home
Cause you channel all your pain
And I can't help you fix yourself
You're making me insane
All I can say is

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I tried to help you once
Against my own advice
I saw you going down
But you never realized
That you're drowning in the water
So I offered you my hand
Compassion's in my nature
Tonight is our last stand

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I'm drunk and I'm feeling down
And I just wanna be alone
You shouldn't ever come around
Why don't you just go home?
Cause you're drowning in the water
And I tried to grab your hand
I left my heart open
But you didn't understand
But you didn't understand
Go fix yourself

I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life
I can't help you fix yourself
But at least I can say I tried
I'm sorry but I gotta move on with my own life

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut
My weakness is that I care too much
And our scars remind us that the past is real
I tear my heart open just to feel

I think it's just amazing...

Since I havent gotten to that point yet here is a song that I would like to play full volume for AH sometimes...

Martina Mcbride Whatever You Say

You think Im always makin
Something out of nothin
Youre sayin everythings okay
Youve always got an answer
Before I ask the question
Whatever you say

Now we can change the subject
Pretend I never brought it up
Same old story anyway
Later we can work it out
Right now youre talked out
Yeah, whatever you say

Oh I know you can hear me
But Im not sure youre listening
I hear what youre sayin
But theres somthing missin
Whether I go whether I stay
Right now depends on
Whatever you say

You say yes you need me
And no you wouldnt leave me
And that should be enough to make me stay
And even though I want to
I dont hear I love you
In whatever you say

Oh I know you can hear me
But Im not sure youre listening
I hear what youre sayin
But theres somthing missin
Whether I go whether I stay
Right now depends on
Whatever you say

Oh whether I go whether I stay
Right now depends on
Whatever you say
Whatever you say
Whatever you say

I'm thinking all those little question marks are supposed to be apostrophes

love that song JT....

I love these posts about music, because singing is my first love for ME!

I have a number, of songs that I cry to... and those that I heal from. I also have ones that make me angry, and those to munster up my inner-strength.

Sugarland has a lot of songs that I relate to... as well as Martina McBride, as suspicious mentioned.

Christina Aguliera (sp) has one that I play full blast, that I run to... that is "fighter"....

When I, thought I knew you
Thinking, that you were true
I guess I, I couldn't trust
'Cause your bluff time is up
'Cause I've had enough
You were, there by my side
Always, down for the ride
But your, joy ride just came down in flames
'Cause your greed sold me out of shame, mmhmm

After all of the stealing and cheating
You probably think that I hold resentment for you
But, uh uh, oh no, you're wrong
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do
I wouldn't know just how capable I am to pull through
So I wanna say thank you

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Oh, ohh

Never, saw it coming
All of, your backstabbing
Just so, you could cash in
On a good thing before I realized your game
I heard, you're going around
Playing, the victim now
But don't, even begin
Feeling I'm the one to blame
'Cause you dug your own grave, uh huh

After all of the fights and the lies
Yes you wanted to harm me but that won't work anymore
Uh, no more, oh no, it's over
'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture
I wouldn't know how to be this way now, and never back down
So I wanna say thank you

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
Makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
It makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Love that one!!

hugs,
Cessy

Good tunes!!

Just, how you been gf? Good to "see" you!

Speaking of songs I have a million!

One of my favs...

Break Down Here- Julie Roberts

Mile marker 203
The gas gauge leanin on the edge of E
And I'll be damned if the rain ain't pourin down
Theres somethin smokin underneath the hood
Its a bangin and a clangin and it cant be good
And its another 50 miles to the nearest town
Everything I own is in the back in a hefty bag
I'm out of cigarettes and I'm down to my last drag.

Chorus:
I'd sure hate to break down here
Nothin up ahead or in the rearview mirror
Out in the middle of nowhere knowin
I'm in trouble if these wheels stop rollin
So God help me keep me movin somehow
Dont let me start wishin I was with him now
I made it this far without cryin a single tear
And I'd sure hate to break down here.

Under 50 thousand miles ago
Before the bad blood and busted radio
You said I was all you'd ever need
But love is blind and little did I know
That you were just another dead end road
Paved with pretty lies and broken dreams
Baby leavin you is easier than being gone
I dont know what I'll do if one more thing goes wrong.

And I'd sure hate to break down here oh no

I'd sure hate to break down here
Nothin up ahead or in the rearview mirror
Out in the middle of nowhere knowin
I'm in trouble if these wheels stop rollin
So God help me keep me movin somehow
Dont let me start wishin I was with him now
I made it this far without cryin a single tear
And I'd sure hate to break down
Its too late to turn around
I'd sure hate to break down here

Mile marker 215...

Awesome! Thanks you guys for adding songs. I LOVE music, although I CAN NOT sing lol. I really have a hard time expressing and identifying my feelings and music really helps me to do that. Rock on!
