Day 7 - Just Checking In
Hi All!
First, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone trying to fight the good fight. Today is Day 7 for me and, although I didn't sleep much last night, I still feel pretty dang rested and refreshed.
I found another great reason to stay sober this morning. I took my son to school this morning and realized that I was able to talk to parents face to face - without having to turn my head in the fear that they would catch the scent of alcohol that would have certainly been on my breath before I became sober (pretty hard to cover up a night's worth of a magnum bottle of wine!).
Anyways, I'm anxious to hear how everyone else is doing, so please let us know.
Last thing, and mods please feel free to delete if this is against the rules. I found this vese in Hebrews 3:19: "Because he (Jesus) himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."

I'm with you on facing people at the school gates. It's such a relief to hold your head up and not fear someone coming up to you and talking.

Bring on day 8 aye?! Well done to you, yes it feels good to be proud and clean.
Even getting to the school gates was a pain in the... in my case, never mind the sallow skin, the awful breath, bloodshot eyes, red teeth (if red was the days flavour) the paranoia - shall I go on?!! LOL what an absolute sight I must of been. So now My boy is as proud of me as I am him. This Freedom Rocks! Good on Us!
