Small request
I recently wrote out the Serenity Prayer a few times and I'm going to post them up in various rooms in my house as reminders.
I'd like to do this with some quotes as well.
I was wondering if you could let me/us know what are some of your favorite quotes! They can be anything...motivational, uplifting, funny, inspirational, healing...anything that you like to read or use as part of your recovery and well being!
Thanks everyone!

I read this one recently on the board and have made it my screen saver thing that scrolls across my monitor when it hybernates.
The minute you settle for less than you deserve...you end up with less than you settled for.
This is going to be my New Years resolution...a little late. I deserve better...hell...we all deserve better!!

On my wall these days are:
"Your life is a grand occasion...rise to it!"
"If it feels insincere, then it is. If it feels unbelievable, then it is."
"It's okay to be angry with God, he can take it."
And from JadMack recently...
"People too weak to follow their own dreams will always find a way to discourage yours."

I like this slogan when I am confronted with something I think my husband in all commonsense should have done.
The path to resentment is paved with expectation.
After I repeat that I am able to let it go and let him be.

"about the only thing that goes away if you ignore it is your teeth" my dad.
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right.
But the most powerful ones are the ones I'm currently saying outloud to myself right now. they address my belief that we cause our situations, especially the ugly ones. I'm sick of feeling like crap about myself, self sabataging my potential. so i'm recreating my reality. Right after I finish this chocolate shake...
I love and approve of myself
I experience love wherever I go
I have a slender healthy strong body
I have the perfect living space
I am now very well organized
Riches of all sorts are drawn to me

Praise and blame
Gaim and loss
Pleasure and sorrow
Come and go like the wind.
To be happy
Rest like a giant tree in the midst of them all.

Two of my favorites (and thanks for this thread!!)
'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you
I think I'm gonna print these out and put them around my house!!! Have a great day!!
