Day 01

Hey guys, well I'm back again and today is day 01 for me. Havn't been on the forum in a while, u guess thats part of the reason I started drinking again. I went to visit my family and friends over the holiday season, there was lots of temptation and I gave in again. But I'm not going to let that get me down, its a new day and a new beginning.

Heres to sobriety, hope everyone is still going strong, cant wait to catch up with you guys again...

Thanks for all the positive feedback, I have a good feeling about it this time. Well Day 1 was pretty tough for me, like it always is. Everything reminded me of drinking, getting groceries, watching my favorite TV shows, listening to music and making dinner. My brain has related these things with drinking for a while, but I know after a while the cravings will get less, its a good feeling

The toughest times for me are around 6pm - 9pm, i know if I can get through those hours I'll be safe for the rest of the night, so I have to find something to take my mind off drinking in those times..

Well thats it for me today, will let u know how it goes tomorrow

Sometimes we have to make some changes to our routine. I had a friend that quit watching football for two years when he go sober. He has resumes watching with no negative affects on his sobriety. He just knew early on that football and drinking were so intergrated for him that if he was going to have any chance he would have to cut it out for some time.
Welcome back....

Welcome back M4L. You've just learned something that didn't work. You have the gift of another chance.
