...in awhile but come here most everyday an read..For those that don't remember my daughter is the addict in my live..an yes she is still using. She does seem to have backed off of it a little, it's as if she trys but then gives in.. Anyway the reason I'm posting is to ask for prayers, we have guardianship of 2 of our grand kids. The father of one is trying to get court ordered visits. He has visits now at our discretion an we do let him have her once a week since his parents are there with them., but he wants more..Thing is I'm pretty sure he is still using . He as od'ed twice that I know of since getting out of prison last year.
So what I'm asking for is prayers..prayers that the judge leaves things just as they are now so we know the kids are safe.

Praying for God's very Best in this situation - for the eyes, ears and mind of the Judge to be open to the reality of the situation so that they may see the truth and make the decision that is the BEST for these precious little ones.

I have custody of my 4-year-old granddaughter, and her mother recently relapsed so I know what you're going through. I am lucky, though, that the father of my granddaughter has never been in the picture so I haven't had to deal with that.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as well as the judge. We all want what's best for these kids that have already suffered enough.

Since he has a history of addiction, perhaps asking for a drug test might be in order under these circumstances.

I cannot imagine a judge taking children from a safe, loving home and giving them to an addicted person recently released from prison. But I'm sending super codie prayers out that God sends a judge that is wise and kind and who truly looks after what is best for the children.

Thank God!!!!!The judge decided to leave visitation the way it is, except adding 2hrs mid week once a month..Turns out the Dad had recently caught a OVI charge anis still going to court with that..
As for drug test he's on probation an gets drug tested every 2 weeks but has pasted them all. In spite of the fact that he has OD'ed 3 times in the last year.
