First Alanon meeting today
Hi Everyone,
I just attended my first alanon meeting today and it was very helpful. I am amazed at how much it helped me regain perspective on the situation--simply by just talking about it. I hope to be able to attend more meetings in the future.

Way to go, reverse.
My first meeting was really hard (after I finally got up the nerve to go......) The second one was easier, and they became more and more helpful as I continued to go, listen, learn.
Hoping the same for you.

Yea...as I was listening, it was taking everything in me not to burst out into tears. It takes so much energy just to maintain composure and not cry b/c even the meer thought of my mother hurts. 25+years of grief just doesn't go away.
