Just introducing myself

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to these forums but not new to recovery. I have 3 years of clean time but haven't gone to a 12 step meeting for ages. I've decided to get my butt in gear and start going to meetings and get involved again in my recovery.......been feeling like using again.
Anyways I'll browse around here....thanks for reading.

Welcome! I hope you share your story with us!

Also....good to see you being proactive about that feeling. A lot of people would just hope it away.

Welcome to SR dawningday, lots of good folks here, I find SR to be an excellent supplement to my AA program, it could never replace real people face to face, but there are a lot of good folks here.

I have been sober 3 years and 5 months and in that short time I have seen people who remained clean and sober outside of the rooms return just to get reconnected and to "Pass it on". One lady had not been to a meeting in like 3 years, she showed up at my home group and picked up her 20 year chip about 6 months ago, she has been coming pretty regulary since then and is a huge contributor to others sobriety/program.

Welcome to SR and congratulations on being on guard of your recovery. You are smart to think ahead and plan on recovery and not relapse. I have heard that relapse doesn't begin at the first drink but more in the head and I would say that goes for the pills too.
