Happy Update!

Hi ladies...

Just wanted to report... ABF has been out of rehab for 8 months now... and he is just doing great. This has been a 5-year battle and it feels like we are finally on the other side. Getting married in April and it even seems as though everyone is happy for us.

Peace and love, especially during the holiday season....

(((Texas))) - great news!!! Rehab is a great beginning to recovery, For those of us who want recovery bad enough (I'm an RA), rehab gives us the tools, and if we USE them, there's no stopping us!!

Congratulations on the impending wedding.

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

sounds like you hung in for 5 yrs.
Hopefully, your guy puts his sobriety above all else and you are able to stay
out of it.

You deserve the better times...glad they are coming your way.

Thanks... everything is going good... seems like the only time we "argue" is about piddly stuff now, and that's kind of fun... maybe that's one thing that is a blessing about the past - I know it is piddly and actually enjoy the fact that it's what we argue about.

Yes, I am totally able to "stay out of it" now... I learned so much being alone with myself for 8 loooong months ... it was kind of forced in a way but it worked out exactly how it was supposed to because I realized I liked myself too darned much to put up with anything other than what I deserve among many other things. Best thing I can ever recommend to anyone... getting to know yourself without the distractions... if you have the luxury... though it's harder said than done.

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
